Visiting the Archives
The Archives is staffed primarily by volunteers. We encourage you to make an appointment before planning to visit to avoid disappointment. Many of our reference services can be provided at a distance.
In-person research and initial genealogical help is free. The archives may charge fees for reference searches, copying, photo processing and scanning. Please contact us for more information.
Much of the Archives’ holdings (lists of records) can be reviewed in advance through the provincial online archival database called Memory NS.
